As for the others who didnt,thanks. - Details of the band outing: Date: 21st December 2009 (Monday) Poster design details: 24th December 2009 After band practice(SI),which ends at 12. HELLO TRUMPET FOLKS! RE-READ EDITED. --- COMPULSORY UPDATE. You've got your amazing trumpet and your scores in your files with you. Look at it and you go: LETS PRACTICE! and you call your fellow section member(s) ,on loudspeaker and listen to each other play over the phone. NAH. okay,enough of that. Serious. -- During this week or two,your trumpets are with you. So you are required to score study the following songs: -Eagle Bend -Fanfare of Wakakusa Hill -Postcard from Singapore -Studio Ghibli Anime Medley It is compulsory for you to memorise 'Fanfare of Wakakusa Hill'.There will be auditions to test your memorising of that song. - When you all are back,every single one of you must be confident to play,since you should have score studied the scores and are sure of what you are playing. We will be going for a competition next year,and you must be READY. Take this opportunity to do self-training at home, train on your individual foundation. -Score study(recap the 10 steps) -Long tones(24 counts) -Articulations -Rhythm(Rhythmic independence-dont depend on anyone else but yourself to figure out the rhythm of a new song,etc.) -- You are also required to practice on the sec one orientation repertoire. -- DRILLS. Practice on your drills!Infront of a mirror would be good,see how you move. Memorise the commands,make sure you dont get mixed up by them. Dont move and turn so sloppily! It really DOES NOT LOOK NICE. Imagine if everyone is marching together and one person looks tired and sloppy.You wouldnt want that person to be you right?SO,conclusion: Practice your drills. -- Know what area(s) are you weak in,and improve. Its all up to YOU YOURSELF to make the change,not anyone else.Just YOU. Please take this seriously and we can improve. Notebooks. I noticed your notebooks in the band store,not taken home at all. When Mr wong points out your mistakes,I want EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU to take note in your notebook.And when you do that,it does not mean your job is done. You have to correct your own mistakes,and not let other people tell you. I will check your notebooks starting from the next band practice. I mean what I say. -- I want every INDIVIDUAL to write a reflection,regardless of how many words,about how you intend to improve. Write your goal in your notebook for every band practice. It is to motivate yourself.Do this for your studies too,and if you are determined,you can succeed. We can do it!C'mon people!:D &/-SY. solo fake explanation.

hello! and yup! i totally forgotten. (LOL.) okay, so solo fake means like.... for example, they give you a simple melody, like twinkle twinkle little stars, and they wrote solo fake there. so, you can change it, like by adding simple quavers infront or behind. AIYA I DUNNO HOW TO SAY LA. tell you people on friday ok? :D but must remind me. LOL. okay byeeeee! qh. Trumpet Section rocks:D

YOOOOOHOOOO!:D okay,the past week's band practices were mostly in the AV theatre watching interesting videos right?Bear with it okay!Your dear sec 4 seniors having their O'levels,jyjy! Its kind of "heavy",so most probably people will doze off or somthing,plus with the lovely aircon and dim lights.Still,however,try to keep yourself awake and note down the important points only. Unable to make it for band practices:INFROM SY or HERDA! Also remember to bring your band file and notebooks!No scores?Photocopy from seniors.Dont keep relying on us to help you photocopy. Last,but not least,take care of your health!:D Sleep early,eat properly and drink more water!You can actually bring your water bottle with you. Thats all,keep up the hyper-ness!-.- but talk only when it is appropriate! &/-SY.
